Emerging Adults
Life transitions can be tough. Some seasons of life can feel effortful, frustrating. You may feel stuck or overwhelmed, perhaps feeling lost in repetitive cycles of responding/reacting to situations. To accept life circumstances and work toward changes, we sometimes need the right kind of support to dwell in the places of tension, to build curious and observational space in holding difficult realities and feelings. Some of these tougher seasons lead to ‘survival mode,’ feeling isolated,self-critical or in a comparison mode with others. We can become ‘hard wired’ to external pressures from family members, peers, and social media.

Mindful Self Compassion for Women
Trained in Mindful Self-Compassion, I integrate elements of mindfulness, curiosity and beginner's mind when faced with life challenges and transitions, rooted in self-compassion framework and skills. I incorporate tools during sessions to promote here and now awareness of needs, link to values and lead with an awareness of how the mind and body can work together in healthy unity. I completed training via Dr, Kristen Neff's Center for Mindful Self Compassion.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
I have completed intensive ACT training and incorporates creative exercises/inquiry based on training models form Steven Hayes, the ACT founder and creator. I enjoy integrating metaphor, humor and other skills which promote psychological flexibility. When life becomes stressful, unclear, we can develop ways to relate to thoughts and feelings that hook or make you feel stuck. Sessions are held with non-judgement and mindfulness, promoting present action and motivation on values.
